So here I am, noobest of them all. It's been like 2 months since I started editing amv's and the learning was tough. I started off with after effects and premiere pro but my pc was lost in a fire so this was made in Sony Vegas on my very potato laptop. That being said, I did my best recreating some effects using mainly SVP and NewBlueFx. This was meant to practice flow and transitions. The story was something simple really so don't be expecting anything mind blowing. Anyway, any type of feedback will be appreciated. I wanna learn a lot from from this forum since y'all are like gods in my eyes.

Thanks already.

Only two months and you already edit this way ?! Sincerely man you must be a genius or something like xD, I do not see anything to complain about. I like the selection of scenes and it's also not so polluted with effects, for an editor, this is incredible! I'm not the best action editor to give feedback but I appreciate your work, GJ

I know that feel man. About the cc, was the contrast too high(still not yet that good with color correcting) or what about it do you think I should I work on.

WOW, pretty good for two months only. What I would say about the edit is that it just needs better control with the amount of cc applied at certain moments and needs better control of the effects/overlays you do since some seem unnecessary in my opinion, like the moment at 0:12 and 0:13, and also play around with flares more. Another thing I would like to say is that to try your best to create YOUR own style of action, since it appears that you have most of the basic effects and flow for action down, however it looks kinda like most other normal action editors out there if we're being realistic. You have insanely good progress given the time you've spent making amvs so keep at it! I'd love to see the style you end up with later down the journey.
P.S- Try not to use the same sao slash in one video within a short amount of time from each other. Good luck!

Really not bad, as many have said already. I would recommend you work on the scene flow and music-video relationships, like synch and atmosphere. With this track and this speed of scene change, it looks a little bit messy sometimes and does not give the viewer enough time to "digest" the visual info. You can try synching to the lyrics or to some separate phrases/beats, or you can also try choosing a track that is not as loud and aggressive as this one, just to practice your sense of music and rhythm. Good luck in future works! Smile

I synched my visual to the beats, i tried with the lyrics the first time but that was kind of hard because I couldn't keep consistency. It is a little choppy to be honest so I'll try my best to fine tune my timing. Thanks for the feedback.

In overall all what has to be said is said, personally i would suggest you to ditch new blue fx and try to make most of the FX yourself,
like this they mostly look better u have bigger options of customizing etc. Sure some FX are hard to do in Vegas
but most editors can spot new blue really fast. But given the amount of time you are editing this is pretty impressive! Keep it up,
and most importantly: always have fun urraa
